Three seemingly off-beat things that everyone claims to be interested in: road trips, dive bars, and sarcasm.
These could be perfectly fine details to mention, aside from the fact that everyone mentions them!
As a result, it becomes hard to believe that everyone is so enamored of these things; they just sound good in a dating profile.
It’s like the cook who garnishes every meal with a sprig of parsley out of habit. You don't especially want people to eat the parsley, you’re just putting it there because it's a foolproof way to make the dish look nice.
If you have to mention these things it is a good idea to be more specific: which bar or destination have you particularly enjoyed recently, and why? As far as sarcasm goes it’s probably better just to use it rather than mention it.

Gather Pictures
Most good dating sites allow you to upload photos to your profile (do this immediately f you want a quick response). Without fail most browsers ignore profiles without photos. That being said, even if you have to steal a buddy’s digital camera for a few hours, get some decent photos and be prepared for the whole world to see them.
What type of self taken shot do you want to put online?
Take at least one good and clear photo of your face. Even the cheapest cameras today have timer functions, which allow you to take a photo of yourself from afar. Use this function and take one of yourself that encompasses your whole face (enough where a 100×100 thumbnail will be clear).
If you upload another, do one of your body, but discreetly. Smart users will post pictures of themselves on a trip or something similar- especially if it’s full body. This allows you two things: it shows you actually leave your house (even if you don’t), and it shows your body.
Avoid Myspace shots, editing, or similar photographic heresy. Your job is not to be an “artist”, it is to show yourself. No photoshopping, no editing, no myspace shots, nothing. Keep your shots clear in their original version and crop if necessary, but avoid making it look like you are trying to hide something- even new internet users can detect it nowadays.
Upload at least two shots if you can, but always less than 5. Posting too many tends to be overkill and redundant. Most judge you by the first one or two shots. Posting five is just a bit overdone, unless they are all clearly different and interesting.

Avoid Generic Lists
“I love music, travel, sports, the outdoors, movies, shopping, drinking, going out." Again, there’s nothing wrong with any one of these on its own. Any one of those could be great with some more detail. But a list like this is so generic as to be almost meaningless.

Movies,Sarcasm and The Spice of Life
This is a great profile. It consists of thought provoking statements right from the beginning that show a woman’s great personality and sense of humor. It’s eloquently written, it’s concise, straight and to the point! It is free of fluff and very compelling for a guy who can appreciate it.
I don’t like most guys, but… I am not interested in most guys and besides perhaps that what makes those few unique individuals that I do connect with all more special.
Myself – restless, analytical, and opinionated. I am not offended by a dirty joke and can dish out one of my own. I am independent but far from being a feminist. Sarcasm is a spice of life, so bring it on.
Timeless books and movies that make you wonder for days about whose side you are on put great flavor into many of my evenings.
What’s your story? What are you greatest pet-peeves and what makes you weak in your knees from joy and happiness.

Lost Smile Reward For Recovery
Lost Smile Reward For Recovery
Headline is inviting and charming, makes you want to click on it. Original with a great sense of playfulness.
I'm putting out a world wide web bulletin to get everyone's help. You see, I've lost my smile. I'm not really myself without it. I have a couple leads that give me hope that it may have been found, including a vague description. She appears to be between 26 and 40 years old, but may appear younger than her age. She at least 5'7" (I am 6'), not a bbw, but doesn't live at the gym either. She has high-maintenance looks with a down-to-earth attitude, values, and personality. She loves rock & roll and may be found at concerts. I have conflicting reports that she's either a blonde or a brunette. She's intelligent with her own career and not dependent on someone to support her. If this person can be found, I can offer a reward of lifetime devotion, long, slow kisses that last for days, midnight massages, a partner that loves to cook and doesn't mind sharing in the household chores, someone to wash your back, a shoulder to lean on, and someone who will hold you at night. If you think you may have found my smile, please e-mail me as I really need it to be myself. Thanks.

Headlines For Online Dating Profiles
DO you want to get notices, then you have to spend some time to think of a good headline that will grab peoples attention! think of it in the same way as a Newspaper headline.
Active online daters are popular people and they will receive many messages each day and browse lots of profiles, so your message or profile has to stand out from the crowd by being a little different but you need to attract the right type of people, not just as many as you can.
